Pete Diederich was visiting Las Vegas for a bowling tournament in 2008 when he first saw Sara Vausbinder, who was also competing at the tournament. Although he felt drained after a night of partying, he says he instantly knew that he needed to talk to this woman. “She just had the brightest smile I’d ever seen in my life,” he remembers. They hit it off immediately, and since they both lived in southern California, continued seeing each other after returning home from the tournament. In fact, the couple began working together in 2011 – Sara is currently the Hollywood and Ventura County director of RAW: natural born artists, an international organization that aims to give artists resources and exposure in the first 10 years of their career, and Pete is a RAW videographer.

Carey and daughter Monroe got ready for the ceremony at the Dream Suite, an exclusive hotel room located above the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Wearing princess-inspired gowns, Carey (dressed as Cinderella) and Monroe rode in a Cinderella-style horse-drawn carriage to Main Street, where Cannon and son Moroccan were waiting (both were dressed in Prince Charming costumes).

Sean Parker isn’t finished defending his recent forest wedding.

In a 9,500-word essay published on TechCrunch Thursday, the Napster co-founder recounted the entire story of his wedding and railed against media reports and Internet commenters that described his Big Sur, Calif. wedding to Alexandra Lenasearlier this month as “tasteless” and “eco-trashing.”

Parker said his wedding, which was held on campground land owned by the Ventana Inn & Spa, was “magical,” “lush” and “surreal,” and said that “Lord of the Rings” costume designer Ngila Dickson designed fantasy-inspired costumes for all 364 guests to wear.

But after Hurricane Sandy destroyed their Staten Island home in October 2012, they realized they could no longer afford their dream wedding. Then, Samantha, 24, a hairstylist, entered herself and Chris, 28, an engineer, into a contest to win a free wedding from TheKnot.com. They didn’t win, but thanks to the generosity of local wedding vendors and wedding gown designer Amsale, they married on Saturday in a free wedding at the Affinia Manhattan Hotel. Here, Samantha and Chris tell their story to HuffPost Weddings’ Erin Migdol.

Barbara Morrow and David Kurland share a life-long love of libraries. So when they decided to get married, they knew just where to do it.

Morrow and Kurland married Friday in the Northwest History Room at Washington’s Everett Public Library. The two bookworms told HuffPost Weddings that they wanted to keep their wedding small and meaningful — and the library, right next door to their apartment, seemed like a perfect fit.

“The library has always been a sanctuary for me. I always felt validated as a child when the librarian went to, what I believed at the time, great lengths to attend to my inquisitiveness,” Morrow said. “Today, when I walk into a library, I feel calm. I look around at the stacks and know I can find out about anything. There before me, shelf after shelf, are ideas and knowledge.”
